| Jan 05, 2026 | 2025 was a great year! 90% of the time was spent behind the scenes. But the 10% that surfaced made it all worth it: - Published my main article in Nature Physics
- Presented my work at a Keystone Symposium
- Defended my PhD in Heidelberg
- Interviewed at the Rowland Institute at Harvard
- Launched a startup and secured an EXIST grant
I’m proud of these milestones - especially earning my PhD - but they’re just the tip of the work it took to get there. Most of the year was spent in the trenches: troubleshooting, rewriting, rethinking. If you’re still in your own “90%”: keep going. It does bear fruit. Now, I’m entering a more exploratory phase. Strangely enough, I’ve found myself drawn to theoretical quantum physics, and I want to set aside time to just think. On the side, I’m continuing to pursue entrepreneurial ventures (more on that soon). I’m currently looking for near-term postdoctoral opportunities in quantum physics, particularly in applied quantum information theory and fundamental quantum theory. If you’re working at the intersection of theory and experiment, or have advice on navigating this kind of pivot, I’d love to connect. Here’s to the quiet work that makes breakthroughs possible. And to whatever 2026 has in store. |
